Generative Moonscapes

Ambient tracks inspired by moons of the solar system

This series was inspired by Wendy Carlos' 'Digital Moonscapes' (1984). The tracks, as well as the cover art, refer to the temperature, size, topology, orbit, mass, and speed of their corresponding moons. The tuning of the tracks is inspired by Carlos' Alpha and Beta scales and plays with dissonances and textures.

Let Them Eat Cake

Instagram face filter created during the COVID mask shortage

In the early days of the COVID pandemic, face masks were a rare commodity. Of course, some people were even trying to make money off of people's needs. There were 3D-printed supplements and lots of DIY tutorials for mask alternatives. Not everybody was able to stay at home. The gap between those who could afford to protect themselves and those who could not was very strongly felt. This filter plays with the idea of using a luxurious golden mesh that would be completely useless against anything. Shining pearls spread like microorganisms from the mouth and nose area. It's beautiful, glittering, and a bit macabre.
